Creative Spaces - Broome Sailmakers Exhibition Display

We worked closely with our agency client, Creative Spaces, who designed and specified a new exhibition display for the old heritage sailmakers building in Broome, Western Australia to build and install custom graphics and cabinets. The project included custom printed 'sails' which allowed light through, a ship knot interactive display with direct printed aluminium plates, a feature rope wall with suspended graphic panels, adjustable showcase displays, hanging graphic panels and interpretive signage.

The materials were chosen to withstand the elements, have the maximum life span and also be beautiful. We used the highest grade marine plywood, aluminium which doesn't corrode and hard wearing laminates. We sourced rope which looks authentic for the interactive rope display and to hang the graphic panels and sails. The installation was planned to respect the heritage building, and make minimum impact on it.

We assist creative agencies to realise their ideas, advising on material options for beauty and longevity, as well as ensuring the custom designed cabinets are built strong.

Congratulations to the team at Creative Spaces as they were awarded a commendation at the 2016 WA Heritage Award for this project!
