Transforming a Tanning Studio Through Bespoke Signage

We recently had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with The Touchless Tan, a brand-new, contact-free tanning experience that brings innovation, style, and wellness under one roof. With two stunning new locations in Wembley and South Perth, The Touchless Tan is redefining the tanning experience with its modern aesthetic, earthy tones, and seamless client journey.
Signage Fabrication in Wembley & South Perth
From the outset, our goal was to fabricate and deliver a cohesive salon signage package that complemented The Touchless Tan’s bronze-themed interior design and innovative brand personality. Recognising the critical role of effective signage in the beauty industry, we meticulously fabricated, delivered, and installed custom beauty industry signage across both new sites. Our signage fabrication and installation elevated not only the visual identity but also the functionality and customer experience of the studios.
The Vision Behind The Touchless Tan Signage
The Touchless Tan is more than just a tanning studio—it’s a true wellness destination. Offering a fully contact-free experience, the brand meets the rising demand for self-care and innovation within the beauty and wellness industry.
The interior space, thoughtfully designed by Urbani Design, features natural, earthy tones complemented by bronze accents, embodying the brand’s premium identity. It was essential that our signage solutions not only enhanced this inviting atmosphere but also remained highly functional and durable.

From the moment guests enter the waiting area to the personalised tanning rooms, every element—designed in harmony with Urbani Design’s interior concept—contributes to an elevated sensory experience.
What we delivered: A Comprehensive Signage Package
We developed a fully customised signage package that included everything from studio signage and decorative wall messages to precise building signage for both locations. Here’s a breakdown of the elements we delivered:
Waiting Area Branded Signage
A central branding feature of both studios is the 3D acrylic lettering in a sophisticated bronze finish. This signage was mounted on to the bench waiting area, serving as a focal point upon entry and creating an immediate brand impression. The dimensional effect of the 3D letters adds depth to the space while maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic. This piece not only reinforces brand identity but also sets the tone for the rest of the studio experience.
Wall Signage with Personality
To enhance the brand’s approachable, fun-loving personality, we crafted bespoke wall signage with phrases like “Good Times and No Tan Lines” and “It’s Tan O’Clock.” These expressions were fabricated in high-quality materials that matched the studio’s bronze-themed interiors. By integrating these stylistic flourishes, we helped transform ordinary walls into Instagram-worthy moments, appealing to the social media-savvy clientele.
Benchtop Labels Using Premium Cut Vinyl
In high-traffic areas like reception and product display benches, we applied premium-grade cut vinyl in a metallic bronze finish. This subtle yet elegant detailing provided clear information while enhancing the overall design integrity of the space. The reflective quality of the bronze vinyl played beautifully with the ambient lighting in the studios, offering both form and function.
3D Acrylic Door Numbers
Each room within the studios was equipped with 3D acrylic door numbers. These were carefully fabricated to match the rest of the signage system, ensuring a cohesive look throughout the premises. The use of 3D materials offered enhanced visibility and durability, essential for the daily operational needs of a busy tanning studio.
Striking Fascia Signage
One of the standout elements of the project was the fascia signage applied directly to the internal face of the window glazing. This was executed using premium-grade vinyl with gloss white text, providing a crisp and clean look from the outside. The internal application technique offers enhanced longevity, protecting the signage from environmental wear while giving passersby a clear and professional introduction to the studio.
Branded Building Signage
For exterior branding, we fabricated ACP (aluminium composite panel) signage with premium-grade digital print to face, finished with a matte laminate for added protection. These large-scale signs were installed, ensuring visibility and brand recognition from a distance. We also took care of removing the existing panels, ensuring a smooth and clean installation process.
Key Information Window Signage
Essential business information such as opening hours and contact details was applied to the front windows using premium-grade vinyl. This strategic placement ensures that clients have access to necessary details at a glance while maintaining the studio’s polished aesthetic.
