QEII Medical Centre
The Factory have been working with Nani Creative for several years now. One of our latest projects together, was installed during the Naidoc week. The perfect time, for this Noongar seasons walk. In conjunction with Kevin Wilson and Leigh Wood at Nani Creative, we delivered an impressive Interpretive Signage Solution for QEII Medical Centre in Nedlands, WA. The largest medical Centre in the southern hemisphere and globally recognised in health care, research, and education. It was an honour to be a part of this Noongar 6 seasons project.
Traditionally Noongar people hunted for food according to the seasons, which were guided by signs in nature. That were either from animals or plant resources. These signs have been carefully positioned for everyone to learn and enjoy our local natural environment.
This signage project consisted of six graphics, printed directly onto ACP, with rounded safety corners. These were all protected by anti-graffiti film. Each graphic was fixed to a custom, laser cut display plinth. A ground sign was manufactured from aluminium and full colour, UV printed graphic with a matt laminate laid over the top. The designs from Nani Creative look spectacular, we are so proud to be apart of this project.
Go look at these for yourself and learn more about each season at the new walk-through at QEII Medical Centre, Verdun Street, Nedlands.
